After last weekend’s rain-soaked delay, the Victory League finally made its long-awaited return in the Taipei District yesterday, marking the start of its 11th season.
The U10s kicked things off at the Volkswagen Football Park with a bright morning of action. Four games were completed before the heavens opened again, forcing the remaining fixtures to be postponed. Nonetheless, Club France Taiwan Blue, 大安橘, SLFC, and the Lions each began their campaigns with hard-earned victories.
Over at Tienmu Football Field, it was a different story. Thanks to the resilience of the all-weather artificial turf, the U12s managed to complete their first full game day of the season without a hitch. A total of 16 matches were contested across the U12 Premier League and Championship divisions, showcasing a blend of skill, determination, and sportsmanship despite the unstable weather conditions.
With the new season finally underway, the stage is set for thrilling competition ahead. Best of luck to all the teams as they chase glory!
*The league extends its gratitude to Taipei University for the use of the Tienmu field, ensuring a smooth start to what promises to be an exciting season.
